Welcome to Mission Heights Primary School
We are a primary school serving the Flat Bush community in Manukau Auckland catering for Year 1s to Year 6s. We strive to be a friendly and receptive school, alert to the needs of our young learners and helping them to reach their full potential. We believe forming positive relationships with our parents and our wider community will enable us to achieve this.
Parents are welcome to visit the school. However, school visits are by appointment only so do call reception to confirm your appointment.

Congratulations to Our Enviro Team
A huge congratulations to our Enviro Team for a fabulous session as we continue our journey towards the Green-Gold and Beyond award for sustainability. Thanks to Mrs Kahn and Ngahere 1 for their fabulous welcome. Thank also to Mrs Devanath and Mrs Gounder for their support and guidance, and a special thank you to Mrs Lal for her outstanding leadership of the team. Your dedication is helping build a greener, more sustainable future for our school and community.
Our young gardeners had a wonderful time harvesting the carrots they have been growing this term! After pulling them fresh from the soil and giving them a good wash, the students in the kitchen turned their harvest into delicious carrot muffins. It was a great way to see how food can go from garden to table — learning about sustainability, healthy eating, and teamwork along the way!
This Diwali, our students and teachers embraced the spirit of the festival by dressing in vibrant traditional attire! From sparkling saris to colourful kurtas, everyone looked radiant as we celebrated the festival of lights together.

This week GTT is all about hands-on experience. We are learning to craft perfect rolls, slice fresh vegetables, and master the techniques that make sushi so delicious. Perfect snack for anytime of the day. Try making some at home!

They made and sold refreshing lemonade and warm fry bread, which were enjoyed by students and staff alike. It was a wonderful way to bring people together, celebrate culture, and share kai prepared with aroha.![]()

Te Wiki o te Reo Māori is off to an amazing start at MHP!![]()
We began the week together as a whole school this morning outside the studios with karakia. This was followed by the whole school joining together under Te Wharau for waiata, filling our grounds with unity and pride. Our celebrations were made even more special by a powerful kapa haka performance and an incredible haka from Ngahere 1.![]()
We are deeply grateful to our students, staff, and whānau for their dedication and support in honoring te reo Māori and the rich culture it carries. What a wonderful way to begin the week of celebration and learning.
Our school was filled with color, joy, and cultural pride this week as we celebrated Chinese Language Week.![]()
